Hops Cheat Sheet

Don’t know your Cascade from your Citra? Here’s a quick cheat sheet of some common hop varieties that you’ll see in our craft IPAs. Of course this is just the tip of the iceberg, and oftentimes brewers will use more than one variety, but hopefully this will help inform your next beer pick.

Equinox
Strong fruit aroma, specifically tropical fruit

Cascade
Not super strong with notes of grapefruit.

Chinook
Spicy and pine-like

Mosaic
Herbal and fruity

Citra
Light and sweet, and as the name implies… citrusy.

Mosaic
Fruity and earthy

Amarillo
Floral and citrusy with a notable orange flavor

Galaxy
Peach and passion fruit with very little pine or earthiness

Nugget
Herbal and earthy
